Six to 12 More Weeks of the Expander
I had my appointment with Dr. Weston on Thursday morning. He says he is happy with the way my teeth are moving. I can't really tell. He popped in new, stronger wires on the top and the bottom. Dr. Han says I need to keep the expander in until March or April. Since my appointments are six weeks apart, that would be six to 12 more weeks. I had been countiing on getting it out in February. Before we began this whole ordeal, Dr. Weston said I would wear the expander for two to three months. Then he said he would take it out in January, then probably February but March at the latest. Now it is March or April. My next appointment is March 2. After the ortho appointment I went to see Dr. Varnai in Perio for my cleaning. I see her again in mid-March.
Still Numb, Bite Still Off
I am still numb on my upper left lip and upper gums. And my bite is still way off, making it difficult or impossible for me to eat foods like lettuce, apples, etc. I have gaps between my two upper front teeth and on the bottom in front where the incisor was pulled. Some of the contacts on the bottom have opened up a bit.
